Privacy Policy for FORME

Effective date: 9 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FORME accesses, uses and stores personal information, including information received through Google APIs.

FORME is a private desktop application developed and operated by Manuel Essl in Vienna, Austria.

1. Purpose of FORME

FORME provides personal training, cycling, sleep, recovery and performance analysis.

The application combines information from connected services and locally stored data in order to help the user understand training history, recovery signals, sleep patterns and performance trends.

FORME is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, prevent or treat any medical condition.

2. Google User Data Accessed by FORME

FORME may request read-only access to Google Health data that is necessary for its features.

Depending on the permissions granted by the user, this may include:

  • sleep data
  • heart rate variability
  • resting heart rate
  • selected daily health and recovery metrics
  • oxygen saturation
  • respiratory information
  • temperature-related measurements
  • weight
  • workout and exercise sessions
  • workout summary information such as duration, activity type, calories or heart-rate information where available

FORME requests only the Google permissions required to provide its functionality.

FORME does not request Google Health write access for these features.

3. How Google User Data Is Used

Google Health data is used exclusively to provide functionality directly related to the user's personal training, recovery, sleep and performance analysis.

This includes purposes such as:

  • displaying health and recovery metrics
  • analysing sleep
  • displaying training and workout history
  • comparing training and recovery over time
  • calculating personal training and recovery metrics
  • presenting trends and historical analysis

Google user data is not used for advertising or marketing.

Google user data is not used to create advertising profiles.

Google user data is not sold.

4. Storage of Data

FORME is designed as a local desktop application.

Personal health, training and workout data imported into FORME is stored locally on the user's device within FORME's application data.

FORME does not operate a developer-controlled cloud database for storing the user's imported health and training history.

Some authentication credentials required to maintain connections with external services may also be stored locally and are handled by the application's credential-storage mechanisms.

5. Sharing and Transfer of Data

FORME does not sell, rent or commercially distribute Google user data.

FORME does not share Google Health data with advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Information may be transmitted to Google or another connected service only as technically required to authenticate the user or retrieve data explicitly requested by the user.

FORME does not transfer Google Health data to another application for unrelated purposes.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

FORME's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

FORME limits its use of Google user data to functionality that is visible and directly relevant to the user.

7. Data Retention

Imported health and training information remains stored locally until it is deleted by the user or the application's local data is removed.

FORME does not retain a separate cloud copy of that data.

8. Revoking Google Access

Google Health access is optional.

The user may revoke FORME's Google authorization at any time through the security or third-party access settings of their Google Account.

Revoking authorization prevents FORME from obtaining new Google Health data. It does not automatically delete information that was previously imported and stored locally.

Locally stored information can be removed separately by deleting the relevant FORME application data.

9. Security

FORME is designed to minimize unnecessary transmission of personal data and to keep imported health and training information local to the user's device.

Reasonable technical safeguards are used to protect locally stored credentials and application data.

No system can guarantee absolute security, and users remain responsible for protecting access to their device and Google Account.

10. External Services

FORME may connect to external services such as Google Health and Intervals.icu.

Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

FORME only accesses information from those services after authorization by the user.

11. User Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal data.

Because FORME primarily stores its data locally on the user's own device, the user retains direct control over most information stored by the application.

Questions concerning FORME's data practices can be directed to:

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when FORME's functionality, integrations or data practices change.

The effective date shown at the beginning of this page indicates the latest revision.
